Our Workshop

This exciting workshop will see students work alongside the Founder and Artistic Director of the Festival Statesmen Chorus, Jonathan Bligh along with special guests, Idea of North. Students will workshop an a cappella piece and explore performance craft, sectional work and a cappella singing techniques. Sheet Music and Learning Tracks will be provided free of charge to students.

This is a free a cappella workshop for secondary school students and spaces are strictly limited, so please register your interest below early to avoid disappointment.

Students attending this workshop will be offered discount tickets to the Voices of Adelaide Gala Concert to be held at Elder Hall in 2026 with dates soon to be confirmed.

The Idea of North

Australian a cappella at its finest.

A quintet of musicians, serious about their music without taking themselves too seriously. A bespoke array of harmony-loving vocalists, bringing meaningful music to humans around the globe. An act that audiences come to see for the music, and come back (with friends & family) to see for the feels.

With 15 albums, two 'best jazz album' ARIAs and 5 ARIA nominations under their belt, this group of singers have mastered the art of instrument-free performance. They really need to be seen to be believed, and believe them you will.
